My new favorite show... VENUS IN FUR.

Ok, I know - 'my new favorite show' - I get it. Those of you who know me probably can't believe that I wrote, or would utter, those four words together in a sentence. But hey, I'm a New Yorker now and I'm married to a musical theatre actress... I'm growing, or I'm crumbling...? Ha, whatever.

Venus In Fur. Nina Arianda. Best $50 I've ever spent, pretty much. GO SEE IT NOW.

Nina Arianda was nominated for a Toni Award last year for her performance in Born Yesterday, the OTHER show I've blogged about.

While 'Born Yesterday' was essentially stolen away by Arianda's performance, who completely blew away her fellow cast members with every single line that she delivered, Venus in Fur is every bit a triumph for Arianda as it is just an incredible show that has you on the edge of your seat, then laughing, then feeling hot under the collar, then blushing, then laughing, then back on the edge of your seat... in a nutshell - HOLY SH*T!! 

Go it see NOW. Did I say 'now'? I mean it. NOW.

Eat me, New York. No - EAT YOU!

It has been a while since I last posted anything on my blog. Who wants to sit in front of a laptop when you can LAY on your couch with an iPad?! Since iPad came into my life, my blogging seems to have dried up... well anyway, I'm coming back.

Here's what prompted my return... eating. More specifically, recommending places to eat here in New York for my friends. I've been really lucky to have several visits from friends and family over the past couple of years, and while they all want to know where to go, what to see, what to do... they all seem to be most interested in where to EAT and DRINK!!

I also often to struggle to think of places I want to go when I'm put on the spot, so I thought I'd put together my master list of eateries and drinking holes... here we go!

• World famous truffle oil and butter gnocchi (been on TV several different times) and the world's best burger. No joke. And pretty cheap considering how classy and trendy the place is. $15 for an amazing burger with a heap of fries. Hello?! That's good for NYC.

• New Malaysia Restaurant and I guess anywhere in China town, but this place is great.
• Who doesn't want to have the menu displayed on giant flat screen TVs for you to choose from?! NOT ME!
• Yes, it's down a slightly dodgy looking alley but it's worth the visit.
